Pete performed this at the VH1 Music Awards in 1996.

This is the E.Cola mix version from his solo hits cd called 'cool walkin' smooth talkin' straight smokin' fire stokin'.I love the
way Pete is dressed and how he
doesn't really know what to do
with his arms,lol.Great version!

He reminds me of Nicolas Cage....Cage always used to (before he got weird and married Lisa Marie because she is Elvis's daughter) remind me of Pete.

Anyway, thanks for the heads up...you are so kind!
Thank you too, for the well wishes...it means so much to me!

That was different! But I like it. I have never seen Pete just standing there singing minus his guitar. He looked lost and vulnerable. Out of his element.

Thanks for the viewing!

He looks awkward without his guitar. That was a great video. Thanks, as always for sharing Mike.

Hi Mike!
Aw..that was BOODY FULL.
Yeah piss off mr. rock critic - whoever that loser was who wrote that article that was posted on thewho.com!

Is Pete really writing a new ALBUM?
Where did he say that?
Or are you getting it from your "inside" source?

Happy New Year Mike!
Take care!
Love,
Suexx

Yeah Pete looks like he's ready to sing around the Campfire (for the Campfire girls!).

I'm at a loss for words but I'll try...That was awesome to put it quite simply. Great arrangement for sure. Pete's voice always soundes so damn good I'm always amazed. Honestly not one of my favorite songs...too poppy for my tastes, but for some reason this version was just plain great.

Hi Mike!

Sorry I don't think I've ever visited your blog before. I'll be back!

I love, love, love Pete's serious, sweet spiritual side.

What is that piece of paper he's holding at the beginning? A prayer?

Beautiful song. But how come I've never heard of that solo hits CD? Someone lead me to it!

Yes - he does look lost without his guitar at his hip. A very brave performance.

And I agree with you lyricsgrl about the Cage similarity. :-)

Have a good weekend.

I have to agree with lryicsgrl 100%, when I was a kid and saw Nick Cage (who I refer to as Nicky the Fish, his hitman name) for the first time in Valley Girl in the 80's I though hew reminded me so much of Pete, I still do, but after seeing the latest movie National Treausre 2 I have to say that Pete looks better than NC, he did some horrendous age-defying things to his face and now he looks all plastic & scary! NC not Pete...

I love watching this, makes me wish I was there and I agree that I have never seen PT so still or not know what to do with himself in front of a mic, he is a jumping bean for sure but this song melts me every time, very spiritual and gets me through some rough stuff again and again
