TELL ME ALL YOUR THOUGHTS ON JOHN

JOHN ALEC ENTWISTLE

October 9th 1944-June 27th 2002

Must have been mid-afternoon
I could tell by how far the
child's shadow is stretched
out and he walks with a purpose
In his sneakers Down the street
he had Many questions like children
often do... He said

"Tell me all your thoughts on John?
And tell me am I very far?"

Must have been late afternoon
On our way the sun broke free
of the thunder clouds
We count only buzzard bass guitars
Skip the cracks in the street
And ask many questions like children
often do... We said

"Tell me all your thoughts on John?
Cause I'd really like to meet him
And tell him why the WHO we are?
Tell me all your thoughts on John ?
Cause I'm on my way to see him
So tell me am I very far
Am I very far now?"

It's getting cold
Picked up the pace
How our shoes make hard noises
in this place Our clothes are
stained We pass many cross-eyed
WHO fans And ask many questions
like children often do...

"Tell me all your thoughts on John?
Cause I'd really like to meet him
And tell him why the WHO we are?
Tell me all your thoughts on John?
Cause I'm on my way to see him
So tell me am I very far
Am I very far now, am I very far
now, am I very far now?"

Tell me all your thoughts of John?
Tell me all your thoughts of John?

A sweet gentleman gone too soon.

I have been to Stow-on-the-Wold, and the locals there just reiterated what a kind man he was. You can see it in his eyes, you know what I mean?

I hope you're doing well.

First let me say, awesome picture, as always! It is one of the best of John there is! Beautiful sentiments too. You should count your blessings that you had the chance to meet him, that is one regret I have, not meeting John. From what you told me he was a true gentleman.

Thanks for your comments on my blog, leave it to you to bring the Who into yet another aspect of my life, made me smile!! Laugh and say I'm green, I LOVE that!

Hi Mike, He left this world to soon, too young. Fantastic picture.
I remember having a front row seat infront of John, he was amazing to watch, those fingers were sooo fast.

xx grace

Never had the pleasure of actually meeting, John.
However, I always thought of him as the epitome of COOL. I get chills everytime I hear his THUNDEROUS BASS LINES....NO ONE, NO WHERE can do what John did!!!

Thanks for your kind thoughts about my Lucy....xo
